Why do we need a temperature Sensor on our batteries?…… It increases battery life and maximises capacity by ensuring they are being charged correctly.
Flooded, AGM, and Gel Batteries use charging algorithms based on a standard temperature range of 25ºC. When the temperature varies, the charge voltage should be modified to compensate accordingly.
When they are colder, the batteries need a higher voltage, and when they are hotter, the voltage needs to be lower.
